Tuesday Tip: Integrate with Bookends

Bookends iconWith the newest version of DEVONthink to an entry in Bookends. Simply drag an ID number of a reference into a rich text document. This creates a special URL that opens the corresponding Bookends reference when clicked. In addition, you can drag the ID into DEVONthink’s groups and documents list which the creates a link document for the reference. DEVONthink Pro Office 1.3.1, DEVONthink Pro 1.3.1, and DEVONthink Personal 1.9.9 add special support for this and name the link document automatically.

    Yes! I like to hear more on integration with reference and bibliography software, thus i collect sources for my phd not only in devonThink, but also with Zotero, Mendeley or Bibsonomy. Would be nice to use devonThink with them as well. But actually I did’nt found out how to make the ‘fusion’.

    You can, e.g., get a URL for every element in DEVONthink and add that to your bibliography management. Or you can add URLs for items in your bibliography system as a bookmark to DEVONthink.
