Tuesday Tip: Use the Sidebar

While DEVONthink 2.0‘s sidebar is not yet final — sections will, for example, be collapsable —, it is already very useful when you work with multiple databases. It gives you access to all recently used database lets you add your most important databases to a favorites list, and can be used for drag-and-drop. To clear the recent databases list, choose File > Open Recent > Clear Menu, to add a database to the favorites, right-click it and choose Add to Favorites, to remove one, choose Remove from Favorites. You can also open, close, and create new databases using the contextual menu. Drag and item to an open database to copy it to that database’s Inbox. And if you need more screen real estate, choose View > Hide Sidebar or simply use the Sidebar tool Sidebar Toolbar Gadget in the toolbar.
