Thursday Tip: Integrate with OmniFocus

While I spend the last two days rewriting the DEVONthink Dashboard widget (including adding a resize corner and the option to change the font), you, our great users, write the really cool stuff. DEVONthink Pro power user and forum member houthakker has created a number of scripts that integrate DEVONthink Pro with OmniFocus.

OmniFocus is a task management based on David Allen’s Getting Things Done philosophy. You can already drag any document out of DEVONthink into a task’s comment area in OmniFocus to link the two (or copy an item’s URL using Edit > Copy Item Link and paste it) but houthakker’s scripts drive this further by adding functionality like ‘Open a group in DEVONthink that corresponds to this OmniFocus project’.

Visit houthakker’s website (updated link) and download his great scripts. Thank you, houthakker!

Hi, the Houthhakker link does unfortunately not work anymore. Is there an update? Is the script still valid?
    Thank you, Daniel

@ Daniel: I’ve emailed the author of the scripts in the hope he has a new link for us. I will update this post if he has.

Houthakker’s scripts can now be found here: https://github.com/RobTrew/tree-tools/tree/master/DevonThink%20scripts. I’ll also update the article above.
