With the addition of simple geo-location support to our upcoming iPhone application (see: It’s Beta Time Again) and the rise of Facebook and Twitter, one of the next releases of DEVONthink will support geo-location and social network services, too.
The screenshot on the right gives you a first draft of the implementation showing the location where documents were created (in this case a collection of reviews and blog postings, thence the wide spread) and buttons for quickly sharing documents or location/movement information on Facebook and Twitter to keep your friends updated on your research progress. Filters will allow you to limit shown results on area or time frame (such as: all documents created on April 1, 2010).

Hé! No reaction to this important announcement. I guess all DT users went fishing…
How about throwing a ‘calendar’ that ties text entries in to the date created like Macjournal, which should not be difficult to do . This would combine journaling and geo-tagging feature combos for blog posting. There would be request to be able to post directly to other blog sites. With the power of DT there would be no reason to use MacJournal !
Will this version only work on 1st April each year…?
