While DEVONthink To Go is already on the OP table, prepared for the forthcoming transition to the new sync technology, we have just pushed a minor update to version 1.2.5 to Apple for review. The update brings updated graphics for the iPad 3 Retina display, continues to record voice notes when the device is locked, and fixes a number of bugs.
Please keep an eye on this blog to stay updated on the progress we make with embedding DEVONthink To Go into our new sync workflow as I will report back regularly from our labs now.

Yes, this sync update can’t come soon enough… my DTTG is paralyzed now by a large file I am stuck with that crashes my sync process every time (and keeps me from syncing anything else).
@Albert: Have you tried to simply trash that file or move it out of the Mobile Sync group, then try again? Does it work then?
@eboehnisch – the problem is I synced the file from my desktop to my iPad, and then edited it in Goodreader. Now I can’t stop DTTG from trying to move the updated file back onto my Mac, and as far as I know there is no way to delete it from the iPad.
@ Albert: No, not yet. And I don’t exactly know what is causing the problem. Two options: Either you complete wipe your copy of DEVONthink To Go using the Reset switch in the Settings. Or I add a hidden switch to the next release of DEVONthink To Go that clears only the “to sync” information. This can take a few weeks, however, as a release is already waiting for review at Apple. Sorry for these inconveniences!
Can DttG database be searched from the spotlight field on iPad?
No, Spotlight searching is restricted to Apple’s own applications we’re afraid. They allow no third-party apps here. Sorry.
I just got DTTG and really miss a decent sync mechanism (iCloud would be nice) that works in the background. So I was very hopeful reading 1.2.5 was submitted to Apple for review, unitl I looked at the posting date: April 2012, which is 7 months ago!!
Seriously does a review take that long? What’s happening? I was under the impressions that you devonians were not into ‘promisware’….
In the App Store we’re at version 1.2.8 already. We have also moved on internally to working on DEVONthink To Go 2 which is a complete rewrite and will be a free update as soon as it’s ready.
Did you ever add the hidden switch? If so, how do I access it?
I’ve got the same problem as Albert: altered PDF files hanging up my entire sync process. I’m planning on using DT as the basis for a 100% mobiel office, but if I need to regularly delete its DTTG’s database that’s not going to work.
Over a year later and nothing has changed??!!??
I am having the same exact problem as Albert. I actually had to delete To Go on my iPad, redownload it and start over. Annoying!!
I am also having a problem with folders being duplicated and triplicated.
