The Mountain Lion and our apps

Quite a few people have asked whether our apps are compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or not. As we are always updating our apps quickly for any new OS X release if there are issues we didn’t find it worth mentioning. But all in all all of our are working also on OS X...

IT Enquirer reviews DEVONthink Pro Office

Erik Vlietinck of IT Enquirer has recently reviewed DEVONthink Pro Office by giving it a try in his personal work environment. Erik also describes how DEVONagent Pro and DEVONsphere Express can be used together with DEVONthink, and links to reviews of these two products, too. DEVONtechnologies products so far are what I would call KM (Knowledge Management) tools for desktop users. You can dump your data in DEVONthink Pro just as with those other apps, but if you want to...

Welcome, Jim!

DEVONtechnologies' new customer support hero

Only four weeks ago we began looking for a customer relations and support specialist to join our support hero, Bill DeVille. We hadn’t have to look for too long: Jim Neumann is the new face here at DEVONtechnologies. You meet Jim there, when you write to support, as...

Every team member uses DEVONthink Pro (Office) locally with full performance and access to all its advanced features. The sync plugin draws changes from...

DEVONthink Pro Office on BBC

This weekend DEVONthink Pro Office is mentioned in BBC’s world-wide program “Click!”. The promise we can all go paperless has been around for years so why is it that despite email, smartphones and computers we are all still so dependent on pen and paper? LJ Rich reports on how the experiment went to encourage the Click team to produce an episode of the programme without using paper. Visit the BBC Click! website or watch BBC World News this weekend. The...

Using DEVONthink as humanities scholar

In the Academic Technology blog Evan Cordulack describes how he uses DEVONthink Pro Office for his research: Its basic features allow me to organize my research in a way that lets me see big chunks of it at the same time from a variety of different groupings and view options. Once the sources are in Devonthink Pro Office, it largely gets out of the way so that I can focus interpreting the sources. The application’s ability to group, tag, and...
