Ready for Yosemite: DEVONagent 3.8.2 and more

DEVONagent Pro on OS X YosemiteOS X Yosemite is peeking around the corner. Today we’ve released updates for DEVONagent Pro through Lite that get them ready for Apple’s newest iteration of its Mac operating system. In addition version 3.8.2 searches Baidu, the #1 search engine in China, and the Pro edition lets you easily share web content. Scanners in version 3.8.2 are more accurate and the new version better filters links to social media, e.g. retweets.

We’ve posted an update for DEVONthink and DEVONnote, too. Version 2.8.1 fixes a few more incompatibilities, works better with user-installed plugins, and imports incompatible files as generic items. DEVONthink Pro Office 2.8.1 reinstalls its Apple Mail plugin if necessary also on German and French systems. Finally, we’ve increased the trial limit for imported email messages. You can now import up to 1,000 messages per day when test-driving the app.

We recommend these free updates to all users. Get the new versions directly by using the apps’ update function (if available) or visit our Download page. If you bought them in the App Store use the App Store program to get the updates as soon as they have eventually passed Apple’s review.

Any updates on the long awaited sync update?

  2. GRML says:

Is it possible to sync via iCloud Drive?

  3. eboehnisch says:

@ GRML: No, unfortunately not. Apple’s policies would force us to go App Store only and close our own shop, at least for all “edition” that use iCloud Drive. We’re not yet ready to do that.

@ Jim Mitchell: We’ll share info as soon as we feel it’s save to share.

  4. Daniel says:

The program crashes when moving files from inbox to another database. Another update soon?

@ Daniel: We have not changed anything here. Have you written a message to support with step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem? That would be helpful.
