Syncing and web sharing explained

Sync iconIn the recent weeks we have released both DEVONthink’s new sync feature as well as a rewritten web interface for DEVONthink Pro Office as public betas via my blog. If you installed the plugins but are still unsure if you really exploit their potential check out our two new screencasts. Thirteen minutes well spent! Ray demonstrates how you can work on one database with multiple users on the local network and how you set up sync locations, e.g Dropbox, and keep your databases synchronized on all your machines.

Watch them from inside the app in the Support Assistant (Help > Tutorials) or here on our website on the Tips & Tutorials page.

In the past, I have had many troubles with dropbox sync.

I have (also) an account with **.
How to sync DEVONthink database (pro) with
    Are there any problems?

    Thanks in advance

    Sorry, my mistake,
the cloud-service is box dot com, not dot net.

  5. Unfortunately,’s WebDAV implementation is not compatible with Sync and we have not developed a component to work directly with their API.

Do you think I might I have problems if I used ‘bitcasa’ like backup storage for my DEVONthink dabasases?
Do you think I should save them into a ‘dmg’ file?
I’should use ‘bitcasa’ only for save space on my HD and keep data save from (internal or external) HD failure.

  7. As long as only one machine uses it at a time, it should be fine… but it’s untested and unsupported.
