DEVONthink To Go 2.4.3 improves sync reliability and more

DEVONthink To Go Sync Automatically SettingWe’ve just released an update for DEVONthink To Go to version 2.4.3. This time it’s all about synchronization. So we added the ability to synchronize when you switch to another app. This makes sure that the changes you’ve made are uploaded to your sync store. If you lock the device, iOS immediately removes access to all encrypted data on disk to protect it. In this case DEVONthink To Go stops the synchronization quietly and retries when you come back to it later.

We’ve also made the sync more compatible to some WebDAV services out there and improved the reliability of downloading documents as well as of the sync status indicator in general. And, of course, we took the chance to make DEVONthink To Go faster and use less memory.

We recommend this free update to all users. Update your copy through the App Store app or receive the update automatically, depending on your App Store settings.

Great! Sometimes I have half synchronized modified stuff and need to go back to my iThink and wait until it syncs.

I expect you’ve resolved the two nasty bugs related to PDF viewing. Once you download it, it does not automatically open and need to change to other document and go back to the downloaded one, and second, if you change to another application, and go back, if DTTG has been pulled out form memory, the open PDF does not open and need to repeat the same steps as when downloading to get it shown.

  2. @ rfog: Yes, these bugs should be fixed as well. Please let us know (best by support ticket) if they aren’t.

Hi, I am going mad about the sync…when I setup a sync WEBDAV shop via my Mac it creates one with extension “.dtSyncStore” while the mobile app always refers and creates one with the extension “.dtCloud” and so it never thinks….I tried everything but don’t come over this problem. every help is highly welcome..

@Erik, both bugs seems resolved. Great work!

@Peter, it is working fine to me. I created a “Store” (without extension) from my Mac and then pointed my iThings to that folder. The store extension is .dtCloud.

.dtSyncStore sync stores are created by DEVONthink up to version 2.8.x. Version 2.9.x introduced a completely new sync that is required for DEVONthink To Go 2.x and creates .dtCloud sync stores.
